Morning walk before lunch

We popped by botanic gardens for a short walk in the morning, after the rain.... Went back to the pavilion to feed/look at the fish, tortoises and pigeons. 

Little boy stood on the tree stump stool as usual... Held his little piece of bread as usual.... The pigeons were waiting as usual.... And dropped his shoe into the water as usu.... Wait a minute!!!!!! That's NOT usual!!!!!!!! Babe, how could u just drop your shoe into the pond when your leg is not even sticking out?!!! Or is it?!!! Arrrrgggggghhhhh!!!! How now brown cow?!!!!!!!!! 

He was calm.... Looked and pointed at his shoe and went "shu"..... Parents frantic and at a lost on how to retrieve it! Kind fellow fish feeder offered her hooked umbrella.... Papa tried - too short! Couldn't reach!! So All 3 of us just stared....... As it slowly drifted away..... Haiz......

As papa waited to see if the shoe would slowly drift to the side, I took him for a stroll around the pond. And hey, guess who was blocking our way?! A water monitor lizard (that was what papa called it... haha)!!! Just as well, Luke could take a good look at it. :)

We left our numbers at the customer service counter in case they do clear  rubbish from the pond.... And hope we will see it soon. (They called us back a while ago and said they didn't see it after walking two rounds. :( But would wait for the cleaners to clear the area to see if they can find it) *fingers crossed*
