Jurong bird park!!

It's been Forever since I stepped into bird park!! It has changed quite drastically!! But then again, the last time I stepped in here was when I was in my pre-teens?!! Hahahaha......

New experience for babe too!!! And the penguin exhibit was a great start to our little adventure far far away!! :) 

Really up close!!! Especially when it was feeding time!!! The penguins were diving in and out of water catching the fish!! Luke was walking up and down with them!! What a sight!!! :) 

We were just in time for the bird show!!! But our dear baby wanted to leave as soon as the show started!! Hahaha just like at the zoo!!!!! Think the cheering and loudspeaker intimidates him!!! So we had to go after watching the opening act where the birds flew over our heads.... Haha... If not I would have to spend the rest of the show consoling a crying baby!! Hahaha...

Let's walk on!!! I'm so glad auntie Lowe came with us today.... The slopes were tough!!! Mama was panting like crazy!!! Hahahha... We walked through the different exhibits (some were still very old-school kind of cages... but i wouldn't know any better how else can they show the birds.... they are birds afterall and can fly! haha) and babe was happy to see the same birds on the leaflet and in the cage when I pointed it out to him - the conure parrots! But of course mama was busy pointing here and there and forgot to take photos!! Hahah.... He also saw real owls and pointed to them. I was still wondering if he was ok to go into the dark room to see them! No problem at all. :)

The Lory loft is a must go if one is at the bird park and I can see why... Getting the $3 bird feed is essential when u are in there!! The birds were not shy!! Hahahah... And were nibbling bits of stuff from the 'soupy' mixture we were holding!! And babe was free like a bird.... Darting here and there with mama and auntie Lowe going after him!!!! Mama stopped only when he ran onto the suspension bridge...... Ok, babe... See you at the other end!! No way mama was going on that!!!! Was really proud of myself for walking on the rest of the "in the air" walkways but the bridge was just too much for me! (I do NOT like anything high and can move aka suspension bridges)

Next stop : the waterfalls!! We took a tram there and again, boy kept struggling to go down. So I guess it's uniform with all the parks... No shows, no trams for this babe!!! Haha... He was really happy when we got down and waved it "bar bar" (bye bye) when it moved off!! Hahahah..... 

Ahhhh... The waterfalls.... Manmade but still quite magnificent. Photo opp!!! Hahaha... And finally after months of going solo with babe, we could finally take a nice posed picture together with a nice backdrop!!! Hahahahha.... Having someone to help was indeed more relaxing. haha... So here it is..

Finally lunch time for us!!! Lukey had half his usual lunch and half my burger bun!!!! And he was loving it!! Haha...

Looking through the leaflet again while waiting for the adults to finish eating. Pointed out to the penguins when I asked where were they... :)

After lunch, it was back to our car for our long drive home. Not before taking more photos at the entrance/exit! Hahaha... Mama wouldn't have on a normal day... =p
