We waved papa off this morning and went for a walk around the neighbourhood before breakfast. We were at one of his favorite (my opinion haha) playground in no time and strangely, he asked to go on the swing when I took him out of the stroller. Hmmm... Unusual. I put him on and he was happily swinging or rather sitting in there for a long while... I joined him at the adjoining swing, took pictures and tickled his fatty thighs... And he was still at it! Hahaha...
We were back for breakfast - French toast for him! But he didn't seem too keen on it. Nevermind.... Packed some snacks and a bowl of fruits for mid morning! :) and off we went in our little blue van!
We went to Jacob ballas children's garden after much deliberation... Haha.. Road conditions do play a part in deciding where we go in the morning!
First stop - the wobbly bridge! The little lane leading to it made me feel like I was in an enchanted forest! Hahaha.... The little boy couldn't care less and was charging towards the bridge with his mama running frantically behind!!! As he took his first few steps, he stopped for a while... Esp when i stepped on!! Perhaps to access the situation? Hahaha cos the bridge was really shaking!!! Then he found it amusing.... And kept on going.... Back and forth... Back and forth.... I stopped chasing after him on his second u-turn! I was getting dizzy! Had to carry him off!!! Next!
Walked along the path... Skipped the play area.... cos no sand toys, wet sticky sand, ok.. excuses! I'm lazy with clean up! Hahahah "oh babe, lets go play with grainy sand near the exit!" Haha... Had to pull him out from bushes cos he just got to get his hands into any sand/soil!!!!!
En route, he found a pathway of gravel and decided on his play area. Plop and his grimy hands were swishing the gravel around. Haiz....
We were finally at the grainy sand pit! Shoes off and plonk! Drats! A little too wet too! And his toes shriveled a little when they touched the sand. Hahaha but not for long..... Didn't matter that he didn't have any toys too.... He was sweeping the sand round, shoving it... At one point, eating some too!!!!
We had a little snack before heading to the supermarket. :) love his thoughtful look as he munched on his puffs... ❤ He just quietly looked around as he ate... :) Not keen on his fruit platter today tho.. Hmmm....
Part 2 : after nap
I thought I'll introduce the wooden blocks to the little boy again. (Did so many months back and he was throwing them around so kept it since!!!) This time, he was building them with me!! Hehee... And and and... When he stacked a cylinder on top of the other after many tries, he shrieked in delight and was so happy!!!!! What a sight for me!!!!! I was too in awe to capture it on film! Managed to film a "diluted" repeat of the feat (tho not quite the same stacking) But that first moment was just awesome! That look of satisfaction and content on lukey's face!!! (No I didn't scream in happiness nor clap in delight when he did them..
