About a boy named lukadoo.... : Baby steps to sleep training

It's been 4 nights since luke has been sleeping without feeding. (And that explains the lack of updates as I usually log in my entries while feeding! Haha)

It started on Wednesday night when he crashed out on his bed on his own while mama was sleeping. So papa thought why don't we try it again... And we did for the next 4 nights!!! Hahahh... First night was hard for him I guess... He was crying and squirming.. And screaming... But the cute thing was, he wasn't pulling my Tshirt or anything like he usually would. Think he understood and was trying to deal with it. Papa kept signalling to the about-to-give-in-mama to hold for a little while more.. And a little while more... And he finally settled to sleep with mama singing and patting him while hugging him... :)

Babe cried for the second night but for a shorter time... He knew immediately that mama's not feeding him to sleep when I started singing and patting him! Resisted a little... But slept eventually..

Third night.... He just slept!!!!! And pretty quick too!!! Mama and papa couldn't believe our eyes and kept smiling while we were still singing and patting him!

The forth night was hilariously quick!!! He was playing and going up and down the bed.... When we decided to turn off the night light while he sat between us on the bed.. And within 3 minutes, he was asleep!!!!! Just like that!!!! We really should have done this earlier....... But tis never too late!!!

Next : cut the wee hours feeding completely!!! We can do it!!!!!

Still rather irregular... He could be waking anytime in the middle of the night, wanting to be fed!!! And it could go up to 3 times a night!!!!!! We are still working on it amidst the wailing and protesting... The last few nights was better in terms of frequency... Only once in the middle of the night and another in the early morning (which I think it's acceptable for now).... One of the nights, he actually didn't stir till about 3am (from 9pm) - a rare feat for this little bunny!! :)

Meanwhile.... this little babe is cheery and his usual self in the day...
