Bishan park!!! Haven't been to this part of the park before!! It was great fun!!! And the best part was... it's really convenient to get there by bus! And there's a McDonald's within the park which was great for an iced cold drink after our hot, sweaty walk.. (enroute to the bus stop back)!! :)
Mama spotted some forget-me-not leaves at the 'entrance' and asked babe to join me to tap the leaves close.... He did after watching me do it.... But used his legs!!! O_o It was only after much coaxing before he went down and used his hands to tap them!!! A little too careful perhaps?!! Hahahaha.....
As we walked on, they were some old-school swings in pretty colours scattered here and there... And we hopped on to the first one we came across (or rather I hopped on haha)..... And of course, Mr watch-what's-happening-first-before-joining-in babe was quite hesitant going up the swing initially... He came on eventually but refused to sit.... So there he was, standing on the wobbly centre panels, swerving from side to side cos mama's weight was moving it and almost immediately wanted to jump off!!!! "Go down go down", he screamed!! Hahahha... Silly babe..
We moved on to the play area next. The equipment were quirky new takes on old-school play things (sort of like abstract versions hahaha)... With some new innovative play things..... Blended very nicely with the environment and on sand!! :)
I am pleasantly surprised when he climbed up this merry-go-round play equipment and was enjoying it when I spun him round and round and round and round!!! Hahaha.... He was hanging from the frame and balancing himself at the centre before moving on to the next frame - all these while it was in motion!! hooray for my little scaredy cat!! Hahahha
One of my favorite - a fun, working and easy to use excavator!!!! Still a little heavy for babe to operate on his own but I'm sure he will be able to do so in due time... And he already loves it!!!!! Spent the longest time here!!!
Just before we left the playground, we had a little fun playing peekaboo around these little holes on the wall... Haha
Babe chose to walk over the bridge when I asked him "which way should we go?" (a line taken from one of his books hehee)... We spotted a tortoise in the little stream below and there were lots of fish too!!!! He made a u-turn and wanted to head down to see the tortoise!!! "No babe!!! Can't go there!!!" - a flustered mama had to run after him to hold him back!!
