Lukey insisted on going "this way" (he said) to the polar bear!! As he stepped onto the road, he even turned right to look (out) for buggies (that usually drives out from the gantry)!!!! Haha... Muttered "No buggies"....

Love the cloudy-about-to-rain weather!
Great for walks in the park.... Especially so, at the main botanic gardens where it's filled with tall lush greenery.
Thought we could also drop by the cafe with a small play equipment... But..... It was crowded with lots of children and mothers!! Gave it a miss.. Next time perhaps!
We bought a little "ball" of fish food at the customer service counter before we proceeded into the park... And babe was really fascinated with the dispenser!!! "So many colourful balls" (ok, his pronunciation was not that clear but u can hear these words somehow hahahah)
Cool, crisp air and trees wet with morning dew lined the walkway.... It's really a good feeling walking through it. Could feel our lungs being oxygenised!!! Hahahahah....
We sat at the edge of the pond and babe was quite happy to throw the tiny fish food pellet in.... one.at.a.time!!! Hahhaha can u imagine the frenzy it caused when each pellet reached the water?!! Hahahha... But they were all waiting so patiently!!!! And I must say, babe was also very patient..... Slowly but steadily fed the fishes one pellet at a time till all were gone! (Felt like a taiji master imparting my skills to my apprentice in this serene environment... honing his patience and calming his mind... Hahahahahah..... )
Can't really tell in the pictures but there were many different species of fish in there!!! The Lou Han fish, koi, catfish, some long unidentifiable fish (to me), arrowanas, small common fish (see them in every pond) haha,etc... And of course the tortoises and swans.....
When we were finally done feeding the fish, we took a few steps back to have our mid morning snack on the steps before walking back to our car. Great view of the pond and greenery!!! But little boy kept staring at an elderly couple doing some warming up exercises in the pavilion behind us. Hahaha... Wonder what did he think they were doing?!! Hahahaha
My baby didn't want to walk back and wanted me to carry him, which I obliged willingly... At over 12kg now, Mama wonders how long more can I hug my baby tight tight in my arms while taking a walk.... Absolutely love!!! :)

Tis a good day!!!!
Had a wonderful day with babe today!! Haven't felt like this for a while.... Felt stuck in a rut and could-have-done-more with babe for the last few weeks.. Haiz..... Anyways...
Breakkie was good today... This little big boy finished his "sandwich" on his own - bread skin and all!! :) And this was the start of a very good appetite day!!!
After putting his lunch (a step by step instruction by Po Po) in the slow cooker, we were out to the park!!
This cooking thing is a tedious affair!! According to Po Po, who lovingly prepared the different bones in individual proportions, gotta boil the bones, get the soup to cook the porridge!! What?!! Plus the after-cooking thing is another long long process... Hahahaha the never ending things to wash!!!
We were out much later than usual... Slightly after 10!! Beat that!! Hahaha... But we were lucky.... It was a cloudy day!! So skippy-do-doo to bishan park for some fun playground time!!
* carrying his little box of sand toys - only packed 3.. Hahaha.. Cos I was thinking of the washing after.. Hahaha ok I got lazy..
* stopping by the bridge to look look see see...
Yay! We were at the playground!! Babe held my hand as I thought he needed to go down the step to the sand.... I led him down and guess what?!!! This silly goat suddenly decided that the sand was foreign and didn't want to step on it!!! So he spun round with his legs sticking up in the air and one hand holding on to mine!!!!! Huh?!!!! Sat the silly goat at the side and took his spade out for him.... He slowly poked at the sand.... And started digging..... And within 3 minutes, he kicked off his shoes and was running around with his spade!!!! Hmmm....
Attempting the 'wave' himself..... Hehee it was a little slippery because of the sand, but he managed.. and was going over and over again!! Mama was trying not to show her anxiousness cos it's concrete after all...... Hahaha but I managed too! Hahahaha
And we did the see and the saw!! Hahahaha.... Funny how he felt more 'secure' sitting in front of the handle bar rather than behind. We did at least 6 rounds of switching from the yellow see-saw to the blue see-saw and back and forth...... And back and forth....
I sent papa the next photo and it probably threw him off his chair... And his quick reply was "aiyoh, be careful, don't fall" !! Hahahahah.... This boy is a natural swinger, papa!! Hahaha... Swinging while being spun around and around... And so loving it!!!
Finally a snack before we left the park to run an errand and headed home for lunch. Gobbled down his porridge... Couldn't tell if he was hungry or the porridge was yummy!! Haha
It was another napless but snacked more than usual day!! Let's see... Other than his full breakkie, lunch and dinner, he had 1 box of blueberries just before lunch and on our way out to in the late afternoon (plus a few more from the second box in the evening), 2 gingerbread man cookies, a cheese stick, loads of milk (from the tap.. Haha), a small pack of puffs.... Bites from my scones, char siew pau..... Gosh I lost count.... And for dinner, he surprised me by having fried egg with beans (both things he was still spitting out two weeks ago) and chap chye (mixed vege with onions too) with rice!!! This guy can do vegetarian!!! Hahaha.... And it was a huge portion!! Prob like his 5 yr old cousin's portion!!
Boy was so excited to see the boys!! He kept repeating "Hey guys!!!" when he saw them.. Hahaha... Was goofing around with them till they hit the pool. Asked the babe when we were at the poolside if he wanted to join the boys... (Was quite reluctant the last few sessions).. He answered very clearly.. "Yes".... Ok, we changed and slowly walked into the pool.. For some reason, this boy is fearless today!!!! Prancing and walking and kicking around..... Didn't want me to hold him!!!!! Even when the kor kors poured water over his head or when he dipped face first into the pool, he was ok and continued his fearless antics in the water!!! I was watching him like a fierce eagle!!! Hahahahha....

I am a bear!
For the last three days, this baby of mine had been slithering on the floor, literally, when I asked him to go downstairs with me. And what I had to do was to go to the stairs, call out "c'mon little snake, let's go down", and this little snake of mine will slither out of the door into my arms...
Today, when I did the same, little snake didn't come... I waited.... Called out again... And waited.... Hmmm.... Then I walked back into the room to see what was up... And this boy just stood where I left him.... Stared at me and said, "little bear"........ Huh???? It took me a few seconds to realize what he said....
... check out the Tshirt!!!! Hahahhaha... And he crawled out on all fours like a bear.... I was dumbfounded!!!!

I appreciate it my dear baby...
My baby has been really understanding when I need to go out without him these days.. :) I just need to tell him matter-of-factly some hours before, and again just before I leave.... And will always ask him "when mama is out, Luke will stay home with?" ... And he will answer "auntie.. Ye ye".... Hehee just to be sure he understands what he is agreeing to... Ahhahaha and I can leave without any tears or clingy-ness.... :)
And when I come back, he greets me with the happiest smile and calls out "mama"!!!!!! "Mama back"!!!! Bouncing in glee.... Almost as if we haven't seen each other for a very long time!!! Hahahahah but it's really the most wonderful, wonderful sight and feeling....
* I hope I won't jinx it by saying it out loud.... hahaha....
