To go or not to go??

I'm glad we did!!! Nice cloudy (and windy) day to roam the zoo yesterday morning!!! Not that crowded and it was cool to walk!

* the otters were very playful and cute.. They usually move in a group and slide in and out of water so playfully!! Very fun to watch..

We finally had a turn at the igloo at the new polar bear exhibit - frozen tundra!!! He's been running around it everytime we were there but I think he was intimidated (?) by the crowd or the older boisterous children climbing all around it, that he didn't want to go into the igloo. Yesterday, I put him into the igloo through the little window and he was running around it and crawling out happily!!! And asked to go again and again!!! Haha...

We stopped by our favorite spot to have our snack.... With the giraffes behind us, lions in front and storks flying overhead from the reservoir to their nests behind the warthogs!! Plus the occasional helicopters hovering! :)

Side note : the giraffes have very very huge bladders!!! Hahahhaha I saw the male peeing when we walked near... But brought babe to look at the lions first and when we walked back, he was still peeing!!!! We settled down and started eating... He was still at it!!! It must be a good 5 minutes!!!!!! I kid u not!!!!!

We walked on to fragile forest and were looking at the free ranging bats, lemurs, birds and butterflies munching on fruits on the deck when we heard a strange animal/bird/insect sound from the bushes.... I can't tell what it is nor see it... Then babe surprised me by imitating the sound!! Hahahha so everytime it sounded (maybe 10sec intervals), babe followed suit!! Hahahaha... Funny!!

As it was only about 10am, we decided to go to the children's zoo to play. :) He had loads of fun the last time we were there!!! And I guess he remembered as he went straight to the 'modern' see-saw and asked that I sit on the other side!! Hahaha.... We were at it for a while, switching sides every now and then... Haha..

* distracted by an ant! Was trying to catch it!

A good experience! :)
