We've been to this play area many times...

.... but he's exploring the slide like tis the first time!!! Hahaha maybe it's because mama didn't show him how to climb up to the top of the slide (there's a gaping huge hole on the way up). Ok I got lazy there... Hahaha

He was climbing up and sliding down... Think he was quite amused trying to keep his balance while climbing up the slide... Almost like he was 'surfing'! Hahahaha

And we found a new ride - an ice-cream van!! :)

... And I can't quite figure what! Haha... He had this grin on his face during lunch (note the puffed up cheeks with a spoonful of rice in there!) and let out a little laugh while his hands were fiddling with the little dump truck. Quite funny to watch....

Babe now sits through the whole journey (most of it) without any fuss in his car seat. :) Sometimes with a toy bus... sometimes with a picture book.... And of cos, most of the time, with a snack! Ha

Whacked up day and a haircut!

This little boo boo prob woke slightly after 3am!!!!!!!!!! I refused to acknowledge him when he was tossing and turning and rolling over me, making funny sounds.... I checked the time.. 3.28??!!!!! WHAT?!!!!! Shhhhhhhhhhh.... Pat pat pat........ Shhhhhhhhh..... Fed him milk..... Shhhhhhhhhhh...... Fed him MORE milk...

Failed.

Think my baby couldn't sleep cos he was very excited that he had secretly mastered 王飞鸿'ｓ无影脚!!! Very lethal, I tell u.... Hahaha for not long after, I heard a VERY loud wail of "OWWWWW!!!! He KICKED my face!!!!!" in the still of the night and in total darkness... Hahaha hilarious!!!

Ok.. turn on the night light.. and there I was, reading Spot's activity book at 4.30am in the morning!!! I was weaving in and out of sleep while he flipped the pages and waited for my response as he pointed to this and that! Haha

5.15am. Tried drowning him in more milk.. but to no avail... "LUKE!!!! It's sleepy time NoW!!!! SLEEP NOW!!!!!!"

5.45am. Cannot make it. Woke husband and I drifted off to sleep. Haha no idea what they did.....

6ish am. Babe cuddled up. Drank milk and FINALLY fell asleep!!!!!!!

Woke at 10.40am. Probably the latest ever. Hahaha.... Haiz, I have no explanation for this early morning hallooballoo... Hopefully it's just one off... Zzzzzzz....

The rest of the day is a bit of a blur... Had a very nice neighbour (a fellow mummy) coming over to give Luke a haircut!! Hehee... She is really quick handed for my wriggly and grumpy babe!!! Snip snip and voila!!! Ok.. My baby looks different. Hmmm.... He looks more like a boy. Hmmm.... Oh nooo..... Not so baby anymore!!!!! Gulp!

For some reason, I thought i'll let my suddenly-big-boy play with water before I shower him to rid the hair all over his face and body. The little container of water could not sustain this very excited and wet boy so out came the big inflatable tub. He.was.so.delighted!!!!!!!!! Hopped in fully clothed (already wet)... Splish splash splosh!!!!!!!!!! Then came the most hilarious thing - he was immobile, couldn't lift his bum up and was whining!!! Hahahahahah forgot to remove his diaper!!!!!! which was now about 5kg!!!!!!!! And ballooned to the MAX!!!!! Ahhahahahahha one of the funniest thing I've seen!!!! Hahahhaha I must say, this brand of diaper is very good!! Not leaking at all!!! I'm impressed!!! Hahahahahah

Children's garden for the little tot

We took the circle line to the botanics today! A good 45mins from door to door.... Convenient but a tad too long for the little one who kept tugging a man's sleeve and pulling someone else's bag!! Gahh!! This boy needs social etiquette classes - space, do not intrude in people's space!!! Alamak... How to teach these social dos and don'ts???

Anyways, all was fine when we stepped into the big big space!!! Hahahaha run free, baby!!!!! Smell the flowers, pick the leaves, chase the birds.... Or just simply run!!!! Ok, not into the water though!!! Hahha this little one wanted to chase the ducks into the water and was resisting my hold on him!!! "oh look, birds!!" A quick scoop up and off we went to the Jacob ballas children's garden! Haha

It was rather crowded with throngs of school children with their clipboards and domestic helpers with their ang moh charges!!! We found a nice shaded corner at the sandy play area and plonked ourselves down... He's a little hesitant about the sand today... Maybe because it was very wet, unlike the usual fall-through-your-fingers kind of sand. This sticky sand sticks to everything!!! Hahaha but he was alright with it in no time and playing with his sand toys and filling up his dump truck! :)

Packed up and walked through the park, stopped by every now and then to pick up leaves and twigs, tore leaves to shreds, walked off road to poke around, tried so very hard (and many times!) to pull a small wooden gate open when it clearly says no entry... Mama also had to make a quick detour pass the water play area... Haha cos she was not fully equipped with water play necessities!! Hahaha made it!

Back through the main garden to the station. The piercing sun rays were out in full force at this time, 11.30am!! Boy was happy to see his shadow tho, was waving to it!! hehee I cannot recall how or why we stopped by a tree in the middle of the pathway to have a short rest and snacks!! Hahahah it was rather odd... Haha

Anyways, we ended our escapade with a walk through cold storage opposite the gardens which was heavenly (cool) and much needed as that was when I made a cool and collected decision to take a cab home!! Hahahaha wise choice.

Ps. I love cuddling and smelling my slightly over 10kg meatloaf, even when he's soaked in sweat and smells of fish (most of the time) hahahaha!!!! The cheeks are especially YUMMY!!!!!!!

Look! Lukey is feeding Winnie! :) haha apparently, it's one of the milestones for a toddler!! What?!!! I didn't know that!! "Ok Luke, feed the baby NOW!!!" Hahahhaha

A new mode of transport!!

It shuffles along like how u would shuffle ur butt on the ground to move... Just that your hands would have something to hold on to as opposed to just hanging in the air... Hahahahaha

Just one of those no-relevance-to-anything stuff. Hahahaha but he's loving it!! :)

Babe slept in his car seat today, without any fuss again!! I guess he was totally exhausted from gong gong's birthday party and his usual nap time was about 2hrs before!! Haha..

And the best part is...... We successfully transported him from the car seat to the bed without a hitch!!! Hahahahha what a feat!!! Hahahaha yay!!!!!

Even if he was not part of their games, it was no matter cos he assumed he was(!!!) and clapped along with their hand games, laughed out loud when they did, sat on them when he didn't know what else to do (I supposed)!!!! Hahahaha heck!! anything to be part of the fun!!!!! Hahahahha

And as always, he is of course delighted to see his Kai Kai kor kor every Saturday... :)
