Super therapeutic sand....

.... lest for mama!!! Hahahaha boy was just super excited to play with sand!!!!

Splurged a little..... But I think this will go a long way!!! (But maybe not all 2.5kg... as we lose a little after each play! Haha) As I find it quite soothing to knead and pat the sand myself.... And basically just squeeshing them around!! :)

No no!!!

.... he decided not to wear any clothes this morning!! Had a hard time putting on the diaper too!!!!

As the naked boy ran around the room, I got him to carry a backpack. Gotta get him used to the idea of carrying a bag for his own things!! School's starting in 2 months time, babe!!!! Hahaha.... Yes, mama is all ready for the tears as we deal with our seperation anxiety!! Haha we have also been reading about what fun maisy, Baby bop and Spot all have at school!! Hahahaha.... Having said that, with my experience at school, all these preparations will fly out of the window when school actually starts!! Hahahaha... But maybe with preparation, it will take less time to get over it?!

* how cooperative!!! Even turned to let me take a pic!! Hahaha...

Naked boy proceeded downstairs to do his usual thing... Picked some "fresh" fruits to cut before having his breakkie!

*farmer Luke making sure it's the best kiwi he has!!

After breakkie and much struggling with the clothes, little boy was all ready to go to zoo! With shoes today - been wearing sandals for the longest time!!! Don't want to be struggling with him to wear shoes when we are at Taiwan in dec!! Haha

Tis a stroller day at the zoo today!! It's good to change his perspective on things every now and then.. Hahaha... Some days, u see the animals when mama carries u at the exhibits.... Other days, u see the animals' butts!! Hahahaha.....

Our dear Inuka, aka the polar bear, looked out of sorts today. Wonder what was up with him.... :(

He was back at his air conditioned room and layed on his bed of straws rather soon after the zookeeper's showcase of the frozen tundra.... Usually, he'll still be swimming or sunning himself long after the showcase!! and I noticed 3 splats of gooey white puddles in his den later (on our way out, and he was still in the same position)! Puked?? Not quite sure...

Naturally, with the polar bear resting up close to the glass, people would flock right up to take pictures..... But people, please DON'T use flash or worse, this father was posing with his son right in front of the glass and was knocking on the it with his ring!!!!! to get the bear's attention to face the same way too?!!!!!!! He went on for at least half a minute while still posing for the camera!!! Gosh!!!!

We left soon after and was home for lunch.

Cool dude!!

Taken some weeks back at botanic's.... Look at that James dean cool dude look!! Hahahaha.....

Ps. Yes, we do bring his trusty old ride  around! Hahahaha...

So glad we bought it!!

.... at the sale!! It now cost $89 and we bought it at less than half the price!!! Actually mama saw the last piece at the toy sale and was stalking the lady who took it just before me!! Hahaha..... But phew! They did a last round of replenishment of 15 sets the next day and my very quick sister in law grabbed it!! Hahahah we went nuts at the sale!! Hahahaha

A simple, fun and engaging train track!!

I love how it works!!!! To make the train engine move, all he has to do is to place the driver in the engine!! :) driver out, engine stops!

After playing with it for about almost an hour(!!), creativity sets in..... And he was adding his other carriages and cars and used the engine to push them all!! Hahahah.....

Now I can't wait to show him the other same series construction set!!!! Another two weeks or a month later!!

29.10.13

He woke early this morning and wanted to go down as soon as he washed up (usually we muck around for an hour or so before going down for breakkie)..... Guess no prize for guessing why!! Haha.... His train set!!!

He's tired....

... and he means it!!!!! Hahaha hilarious show of tiredness!!!

He knocked out within 5 mins of car ride!! Hahahhaha

Look who we found at the zoo!!!

There were the otters, rhinoceroses, giraffes, lions and..... Shin yi jie jie!!!!!! On an excursion to the zoo. Hahahha.... (And we later found out tore kor kor was next door at the river safari!! How coincidental was that!!!)

Our dear boo boo was a little braver today.... Haha... He charged to the entrance with the zoo card in his hand and handed it to the zoo staff at the entrance... And when the nice young lady asked if he wanted a stamp, he was a little hesitant but..... Handed his arm over!!!!! Ahhahahaha hooray for finally accepting the stamp!!! After that he was beaming and very pleased with the train stamp on his arm!! Kept looking at it!!

* admiring the train stamp!

The animals seemed to have a TGIF euphoria!! Hahahah... They were ALL out to play!!! I'm serious!!!! I kept taking pictures of the animals which I usually won't!!!!

* the rhinos walking in and out of the water!!!!! And not sleeping in the shade!!

* must suggest to the zoo... To have raised platforms in front of every enclosure or at least for most of them... All these little ones see are the animals' butts if they are standing on ground or in their strollers!!! Hahahha....

* the zebras were scratching each other's back!!! How cute is that!!!!

* and the lions wet BOTH basking in the sunlight on this side of the enclosure!!!! And AWAKE!!! They are usually sleeping on the other side near the glass panel!!!

* we finally got to see the "phantom" sloths!!!!!! And one of them actually had a baby on her tummy!!!! It's so hard to spot them and we saw 3 today!!!!

It was really a very good day at the zoo today!!!! Babe was in a very cheery mood too!!

* these were replicas... But the real otters were at their usual cute selves.... Coming up to 'greet' people together and doing somersaults into the water much to everybody's delight!!

Cutest thing babe did today.... After watching the real otters strutting their stuff, babe walked to the little replicas at the side and kissed them on the mouth, one at a time and smiling!!!!! Awwwww...

* he surprised me with his sudden show of affection and good thing I managed to take a pic of this last kiss!! Hahahaha

* patting and smiling....

We walked a long way today!!!!! Still refusing to the the tram..... Will continue trying tho... Haha...

* another must-do thing - crawl into the igloo, do an igloo dance around, say igloo many times over, look out at the 'window', crawl out, run around it..... Out of the frozen tundra exhibit area. Duh!!! E.v.e.r.y T.i.m.e!!!!!! Hahahahha in fact the routine starts from the entrance of this frozen tundra exhibit!!! Will do a video next time! Hahaha...

We went to feed the goats at the children's zoo as usual..... This silly goat was really rude and agressive!! Babe saw a baby goat kid and wanted to feed it but that silly goat kept pushing it away and grabbed the leaf!!!!! Babe went on to feed the baby again, that silly goat took it again!!!!!!! Grrrr...... But it was cute to watch our babe trying to inch his way here and there to feed the baby goat.. Hehee....

* watching the little midget horses...

Mama is just waiting for the day babe tells her that he wants to ride in the carousel.... :) She will gladly buy the tickets!!!! But for now....He would rather watch..... which we did! For a long long time.... Haha..

Tired out ... And asked to be carried on our way out.... Haha... Another great excursion day!!!

Jacob ballas children's garden

... is really a good place for kids to run and explore! Everything is so touchable here!! hahahaha... From the mint leaves (leaves a nice minty smell on hands) to the touch-me-nots (pun not intended haha).. From the fruits on the trees to the sand on the ground.... The busy little hands just wouldn't stop!! HHahah

Babe recently discovered the joy (and purpose) of cranking the levers at this activity corner!!! He's been "blindly" doing it and walking away..... Haha.... Now, he anticipates and waits for the intended results - sprays of mist and the board lights up with continuous cranking!! Woohoo!!!

* waiting for the sprays of mist...

The good ole wobbly bridge is still lots of fun!!! Yup, he had to prance up and down countless times before we could move on to something else!!!!

Two things we haven't done so far on our countless trips here - water play and go on the slide!! Hahaha will attempt either one the next time!! Hahaha

Courtesy is for u and me..... HahAhaha...

Ps. We also hopped to the park next door to do some bird watching! This boy still charges straight at the birds/ducks/swan aka into the pond at sight!!!! This boy must learn limits on bird chasing!!!

Pps. The black swan here is a little aggressive though.... It will charge at little people.... Had to lift babe off the ground when I saw it coming at a fast speed... It also did that to another child nearby!!
